Too many men named John Bowles; too much incomplete and unsubstantiated research has muddied the water. Too many inconsistencies that can't be resolved.Kay Hadenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16775054088464354234noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6036137513106816899.post-2406782915225095632017-03-29T01:27:46.011-04:002017-03-29T01:27:46.011-04:00I did at one time, found a research that indeed tw...I did at one time, found a research that indeed two Bowles, married two Bollings. He has a son Emmett, father to my grandmother Lottie Marie Bowles. There is a book online "The History of the Bowles Family" you can read page by page. It ends with the generation of Nancy and Greenville Pete. It begins with the Battle of Hasting 1601.<br />Paulette Sanchezhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08695539096028934908noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6036137513106816899.post-70009165684453064722013-05-18T16:42:27.636-04:002013-05-18T16:42:27.636-04:00I eventually made contact with this researcher. Bowles, and Joseph and James Bowles, as well as Cantrells and Adcocks were all living as neighbors on Sink Creek, DeKalb Co, TN - DeKalb taken from Warren Co in 1837. The deeds, surveys, entries, can be found in Warren & DeKalb records. Their deeds do not reference specific relationships but certainly support a close relationship among these families.Kay Hadenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16775054088464354234noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6036137513106816899.post-62528636397258713852010-05-02T20:47:41.637-04:002010-05-02T20:47:41.637-04:00I recently received an "anonymous" post ...I recently received an "anonymous" post by a person named Clydene, claiming proof that John M. Bowles and Frances "Fanny" Bolling were indeed the parents of Nancy M. Bowles. Unfortunately the post offered no actual documents or means of contact. I would very much like to discuss this proof and my email address can be found by clicking on my profile.Kay Hadenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16775054088464354234noreply@blogger.com
